About Coach Jessica

 

Jessica Belen-Rivera, B.S., M.S., is a highly qualified and experienced fitness professional with a wealth of accomplishments in the world of running and endurance sports. As a RRCA Certified Running Coach Level I & II, USA Track & Field Level I Certified Coach, UESCA Triathlon Coach and NASM Certified Personal Trainer, she brings a diverse skill set to her coaching practice.

 

With over 30 years of running experience under her belt, Jessica has an impressive running resume that includes twenty-two marathons, twenty-one half marathons, two 10 milers, and numerous 5K and 10K races. She has also taken on the challenge of two 70.3 Ironman events in Chattanooga and Waco, as well as three full Ironman races in Chattanooga and Texas.

 

Jessica's running prowess extends beyond just completing races; she has placed and won road races ranging from 5K to the half marathon distance. Her passion for running has taken her to various destinations around the globe, including iconic locations like the Great Wall of China and races in countries such as Puerto Rico, Austria, Egypt, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Brazil, Australia, and Germany.

 

Despite facing challenges like an ACL replacement following a ski accident in 2014, Jessica's commitment to training intelligently has allowed her to achieve personal bests and notable victories, including winning a RRCA 10K National Championship, earning multiple qualifications for the prestigious Boston Marathon, and competing at the AbbottWMM MTT Age Group World Championships in Australia.

 

For eight consecutive years, she has conquered the challenging BP MS150, a two-day cycling event spanning 180 miles. Throughout her athletic journey, she has not only participated in duathlons and sprint triathlons but also achieved impressive finishes. Her dedication and skill have led her to qualify for the prestigious USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships in the sprint distance category. Moreover, she has showcased her endurance by completing the grueling Triple Bypass bike ride in Colorado, conquering 118 miles and tackling over 10,800 feet of elevation gain across three daunting mountain passes: Juniper, Loveland, and Vail.

 

In addition to her own athletic pursuits, Jessica has dedicated herself to coaching clients with a wide range of goals, from running to general fitness training, competition-specific preparation, and nutritional guidance. Her extensive experience and passion for fitness make her a valuable resource for individuals looking to reach their full potential in their athletic endeavors.
